EDUCATE OUR NEXT GENERATION OF VETERINARIANS

Created in 2012 at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Priority 4 Paws (P4P) is a shelter medicine program that provides high-quality care for shelter animals. P4P offers select veterinary students a unique opportunity to gain medical and surgical experience while working with animals from regional shelters. Moving forward, we want to expand our program, but we can’t do it without your support.

Can we count on you to help educate our next generation of veterinarians? 

Due to COVID-19, a stationary P4P area located at the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine was established in place of a mobile unit. Moving forward, it is our hope that the P4P program will continue to offer more educational opportunities for all Purdue veterinary students, contribute to the discovery of new knowledge, and provide excellent and compassionate care to all animals entrusted to us.

By making a gift to the P4P program today, you will be supporting the following goals:

• Provide Purdue veterinary students with hands-on experience in surgical and primary medical care.
• Provide free spay and neuter surgeries for Indiana animal shelters.
• Provide basic medical care and/or recommendations for shelter animals to improve their health, well-being, and adoptability. 
• Instill a philanthropic spirit in students so they continue to support animal shelters wherever they decide to work after graduation.
