Created in 2012 at Purdue University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Priority 4 Paws (P4P) is a shelter medicine program that provides high-quality care for shelter animals. P4P offers select veterinary students a unique opportunity to gain medical and surgical experience while working with animals from regional shelters. Moving forward, we want to expand our program, but we can’t do it without your support.

Due to COVID-19, a stationary P4P area located at the Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine was established in place of a mobile unit. Moving forward, it is our hope that the P4P program will continue to offer more educational opportunities for all Purdue veterinary students, contribute to the discovery of new knowledge, and provide excellent and compassionate care to all animals entrusted to us.
