SEND A BOILERMAKER TO LIVE AND LEARN IN DC

Your gift can now go even further! Any donation of at least $50 will be matched by Andrea Langrish, managing director of the Center for C-SPAN Scholarship and Engagement, up to a total of $1,000!

Since 2011, the Boilers Go to DC (BGDC) program has invited more than 150 Boilermakers to live and learn in our nation's capital. Offered by the Center for C-SPAN Scholarship and Engagement, the program provides students the chance to network with DC changemakers.

We believe this opportunity should be available to all qualified students, regardless of their financial situation. That's why we are asking for your support to offer more scholarships for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Will you help make this trip accessible to all students on campus?

"Boilers Go to DC taught me to be confident, especially when networking and making connections..."  — Aavik Patel

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

By supporting the Boilers Go to DC program, you'll be giving a student the chance to tour America's most historic monuments, connect with alumni working in DC, and take a political communication course taught by C-SPAN founder and Purdue alumnus, Brian Lamb. Every student will also be matched with a mentor from the Purdue Alumni Club of Washington DC to learn more about various career paths.

Last year, we were able to offer scholarships to 4 students in need. Unfortunately, not every student that qualified for the program was able to participate due to various financial barriers. Your gift, of any size, can help us change that for 2023.
