SUPPORT BOILERMAKERS IN SOUTHWEST FLORIDA

The Edward Elliott Scholarship fund was first established in 2011 to support Boilermakers like Jack Valenti and Abby Corcoran, current Purdue University students from the Southwest Florida area. In the above video clips, they both talk about their experiences on campus and what this scholarship has helped make possible for them. As enrollment numbers continue to rise, so does the need for more student scholarships.

Today, we are asking you to invest in the future of our Southwest Florida Boilermakers by making a gift to the Edward Elliot Scholarship fund. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference in the lives of our students.

Scholarship and Endowment Facts

  • The Edward Elliott Endowment, created to help fund scholarships to SW Florida students attending Purdue, was initiated in September 2019 with an opening deposit of $30,000.
  • In just over 4 years, with your support, we’ve increased the balance to $52,228, an increase of over $22,000.
  • In 4 short years, our endowment balance ranks in the top 20 of all alumni clubs and in the top 10 of non-Indiana alumni clubs.
  • Since 2019, we’ve granted 6 school year scholarships, totaling $28,500, including 2 $6,500 award winners this 2023-2024 school year, by far our largest-ever dollar amount.
  • All scholarship winners come from Lee, Collier, or Charlotte counties.
  • Even with 11 years of frozen tuition, Florida Boilermaker students pay nearly 2x of Indiana students:
