EMPOWER THE NEXT GENERATION OF DIVERSE ENGINEERS

We are the PREFACE program at Purdue University- Minority Engineering Program, dedicated to providing a transformative experience for underrepresented high school students aspiring to pursue engineering. Our mission is to break barriers and empower the next generation of diverse engineers. Our programs are open to all students, and we welcome all students.

Today, will you please join us by making a gift in support our mission?

WHY DO WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT?

Our programs are focused on increasing the interest and representation of underrepresented minorities in engineering. We have made a difference since 1976, offering a 1-week, 1-credit residential summer workshop focused on college readiness and hands-on engineering projects.

All donations received will be used to cover tuition and essential costs such as materials, tooling, and components for our summer projects, ensuring a rich learning experience for our participants.

Our goal is to enable first-generation students from lower-income backgrounds to partake in the college experience and explore Purdue's engineering labs. However, tuition fees pose a financial barrier to some of our students. Your support is essential in ensuring that PREFACE becomes accessible to everyone, and your generosity will enable us to reach more students, provide scholarships, and create a lasting impact on their educational journey. Every contribution matters! Whether it's $10 or $100, your support will help us reach our goal.
