YEAR: Freshman
MAJOR: Construction Management
ROLE: General Member
Hello everyone my name is Marcus Manna and I am a construction management major here at Purdue. This year I will be participating in the annual "Buzz a Beta". The reason my I am passionate about Beta isn't just because I am pledging it and hoping to get initiated. However, I am passionate about Beta because of my dad. My dad was a Beta new member in 1989 and graduated in 1993, he has told me lots of stories about his experiences with Beta and his new member class and how they had so much fun together. Those experiences that my dad told me about is something I would like to experience at my time with Beta. I am also very passionate about fundraising and philanthropy. During my years through high school, especially my sophomore-senior summers I participated in a week-long charity event called "Habitat for Humanity". During my experiences with Habitat for Humanity, myself along with fellow peers of mine got to live in under-privileged places and each day we would help people in need. Either that was building an elderly couple a new deck and accessibility ramp, or helping bring "life" to someone's home with a new paint job. Those experiences really helped give me a different perspective on fundraising, philanthropy, and charity work. Thank you for considering making a donation to help me and my fraternity reach our goal and make a difference through the Tyler Trent Foundation!
