YOU CAN HELP CARE FOR OUR HORSES

The Purdue Western Equestrian Team is a 100% student-run organization dedicated to promoting excellence in western equestrian competition and education. We compete in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) events and provide hands-on opportunities for our members to develop horsemanship skills, but we need your help to keep going!

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Established in 2008, our team offers training in western horsemanship, ranch riding, and reining. We are responsible for the care of six horses, which are central to our program. This includes feeding, medical care, transportation, and more—all of which come with significant costs.

Due to an unexpected facility change, we are now fully responsible for the care of our horses. We need $30,000 to cover expenses such as:

  • Hay, grain, shavings, and stall board
  • Medical care and transportation to shows
  • Tack and equipment (we currently borrow much of our gear)

Our immediate goal is to raise $10,000, and we’re working our way up from there. Your gift will directly support our horses, enabling us to continue training students, competing, and building leadership and teamwork skills.

The future of our team depends on the generosity of people like you! If you can't make a gift, please help by spreading the word and sharing this page with your friends, family, and other Purdue alumni.

Thank you for supporting the Purdue Western Equestrian Team!
