Purdue Solar Racing is a student-led team of engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers working to build the next generation of solar-powered vehicles! We design, manufacture, and race our own cars against top universities across the country, pushing the boundaries of efficiency, aerodynamics, and sustainable energy.

Since 1991, we’ve come a long way from our first solar-powered van. Today, our team builds high-performance solar cars using advanced materials like carbon fiber to optimize speed and efficiency. Our iconic “aeroshell” isn’t just for looks—it’s a product of countless hours of design and engineering. But to keep innovating and competing, we need your help!

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

We’re working hard to get back on the road for the 2026 American Solar Challenge, but building a solar-powered car from the ground up isn’t easy. Your donations will help us:

• Car Development – Materials, composites, and lightweight structures for performance and efficiency
• Solar Energy Systems – Panels, wiring, and energy storage for reliable race conditions
• Competition Costs – Registration fees, logistics, and transportation to the national stage
