Thank you to everyone who has supported our efforts in Lumbisi! We wanted to give you a quick update on what the team has been up to lately.
This past month we hosted our mid-semester design review where we presented our project and recent progress to several industry professionals, as well as professors at the university, interested students, and our current team sponsors. We have also completed some initial renderings and concepts for the interior of the library and classrooms.
Currently, six of our team members are in Lumbisi for the extent of Spring Break! While there, they will be attending various meetings with FEVI (our project partner) and several other organizations to work out and finalize many of the logistics for the construction of the education center. In addition, two of our students will be examining some of the current needs in Ecuador to determine future projects for our team. They are largely focusing on the need for clean water at some other schools in the surrounding area.

Donors will be acknowledged on the mural in the multipurpose room. Their name will be painted onto a leaf of the tree which will be the center of the mural.

The classroom sponsorship opportunities are the best way to have an impact on the community of Lumbisi. An individual sponsor(s) of a classroom will receive a plaque on the door acknowledging their donation and a quote of choice by the donor relative to education painted inside the room. In addition, the sponsor will be forever featured on our website with their name and picture (if desired), a short bio (if desired), and what room their funding made possible.
